Job Description:

Manages all the entertainment & recreation activities as well as overseeing the technical integrity of all the produced entertainment and venues on the Island including Music and Entertainment, Fastrack, Playspace, Kandiland, Sports & Leisure (excluding Spa) Burn, Guests Activities and programs such as Summer Camp, Easter and Festive.

KEY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish the Resort's event programming in collaboration with the event team, in accordance with the guidelines of the service provided.
  • Overall responsibility for scheduling and delivery of the entertainment programs and management of the entire entertainment team.
  • Check/evaluate all activities, performances and events and the responses.
  • Guarantee the coherence of the atmosphere and make sure that the service is well adapted to our guests.
  • Manage budgets dedicated to events, management and preservation of the material used.
  • Guarantee the internal and external communication of the Resort's events to clients and teams.
  • Constantly curious and on the lookout for original ideas for stories, driving
  • Innovation agenda, developing the vision and bringing demonstratable thought leadership in Entertainment Development
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, legal and health and safety rules.
  • Actively involved in various industry and community initiatives.
  • Be an ambassador for the Kandima Maldives.
  • Ensure all safety policies are being adhered to.
  • Supervise the day-to-day operations of the Fastrack track and K’Club, consisting of a bowling alley, arcade games, escape rooms, karaoke and VR arena.
  • Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, serviced, and in safe working conditions, in collaboration with the Director of Engineering (DOE).
  • Carry out day-to-day maintenance of karts and track to uphold safety standards and guest satisfaction.
  • Oversee the setup and breakdown of facilities, ensuring they are clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times.
  • Drive revenue by achieving budgeted capture ratio and spend per guest through strategic pricing, promotions, and upselling techniques.
  • Manage costs and ensure the facility is financially sustainable
  • Develop and maintain operational procedures and policies
  • Work closely with Sales & Resort operations departments to ensure proper scheduling and planning for Events
  • Ensure the facility is safe and secure
  • Promote upselling by offering packages and combos and creating exciting events and promotions to enhance guest experience.
  • Provide ongoing training, coaching, and performance evaluations to ensure high standards of service and guest satisfaction.
  • Assure that staff morale is maintained at a high level

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education/Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in hospitality & Tourism Management or MBA
  • Language: Fluent English and additional languages desirable
  • Experience: At least 3 years’ experience in the same capacity.
  • Competencies: Excellent customer service skills. Able to demonstrate excellent people & communication skills. Able to work calmly & confidently under pressure.
  • Computer skills: Competent with excel & word.

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:

  • Specific financial measures of performance: To be agreed at each appraisal
  • Specific non-financial measures of performance: To be agreed on recruitment and at each appraisal.
  • General measures of performance: As a senior member of the department, he/she is required to set the highest standards of performance both within his department and as an example for others outside his department.
  • Frequency of appraisal: Performance to be appraised bi-annually.
  • Appraiser: To be appraised by the Resort Manager
