Airport Representative
Job Description:
OBJECTIVE
Manage the first point of contact at the airport and departure of the guest converting & thereby delivering the best first & last impression for the Kandima Maldives
Qualification
Diploma / degree in Hotel Management or related course.
Experience & Skills
- Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with others; demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company.
- Able to speak, read and write English
- One year of experience in a role at the Airport
- Type and level of experience required may vary slightly based on size and complexity of operation
KEY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Check all international flight timings as per arrival and departure list from the resort to ensure they are as per scheduled times and inform appropriate people.
- Read, decipher movement reports and coordinate all arrivals and departures at the airport in an efficient manner.
- Report to the airport at least 30 minutes prior to arrivals or departures in full uniform.
- Be smart and well-groomed at all times and maintain a friendly and cheerful attitude.
- Be at the arrival gate with the sign board of the relevant resort at the time dis embankment commences
- Take the clients to the relevant transfer party to arrange transfer to the resort as per the instruction of the resort.
- Assist the guest with the luggage
- Assist the guest for check in to seaplane / domestic flight
- Assist the guest to check in for international flight on their departure
- Inform all necessary information regarding the arrival information of the client’s to the resort.
- All the details of the transfer movements to be informed to the resort.
- Take the clients to Seaplane/Domestic flight or Speed boat right away, avoid any delays and waiting times
- Ensure that all luggage is labelled as per the flight or resort
- Do the check-in for clients at the time of transfer and also time of departure.
- Handling of airline reservations of the clients and tickets.
- Handling the lost luggage and communicate to the relevant departments
- Ensure to collect the airline ticket if necessary.
- Purchasing of items for the clients as per the request from the resort
- When available and where necessary, assist either of the resorts in locating or purchasing items
- Be totally familiar with room amenities. Layout, rate structure and outlets (e.g. Operation hours, menu, promotions, prices, etc.) Facilities and services offered in each Resort.
- Handle guest complaints or requests and follow-up, ensure to inform Front Office Manager of any such issues
- Maintain a friendly rapport with guests in order to ensure open communication.
- Accept hand over with previous shift.
- Provide courteous service to guests and respond promptly to guest’s requests and inquiries.
Record all suggestions, complaints and compliments from guests and report to Airport Manager.
- Contributing ideas and suggestions to enhance the procedures in the Resort.
- Keeping updated on changes to other areas of resort product and sharing such information with your team and department on an ongoing basis.
- Provide general information requested by guests.
- Abiding by the guidelines set out in the Employee Handbook.
- To follow all systems and procedures as laid down in the standard operating manual
- Actively takes part in training of team including involvement in personnel measures such as assessment of performance
- To develop all team members of the department with appropriate training and coaching, either directly, or through appropriate supervisors
- Assists in identifying and development of high potential team members
- Assisting in any other duties as directed by your Manager
