Job Description:

To be responsible in providing the most efficient and courteous hotel reservations service and to undertake other duties and responsibilities as required by Management. To ensure that the department is dedicated in providing all guests a comfortable, pleasant and memorable experiences during their stay at Kandima Maldives

KEY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

Product Knowledge and Administrations skills

  • To be familiar with all Kandima Maldives policies & procedures and the facilities and services offered, proficient in reservations
  • To “master” the room product in terms of rates, layout and physical attributes, breakdown/configuration, benefits and amenities.
  • To coordinate office activities to ensure work updates are consistently maintaining and all correspondence promptly handled on the same day received.
  • To answer phone call within 3 rings and coordinate reservation requirements and handle inter-department communications.
  • To ensure that all reservations are entered accurately and work updates maintained consistent.

Availability and Inventory Management

  • To be aware of booked-out status and need period periods to maximize sales opportunities. To alert Reservations Manager of sudden changes in occupancy levels.
  • To advise the Reservations Manager of any deviations in rate applications or reservation arrangements.

Oral (Clear English) and written communication skills

  • To understand market segmentation to accurately “qualify” reservations.
  • To handle incoming reservation requests/correspondence, confirming or regretting on the day received.
  • To be familiar with the hotel’s credit policies to effectively handle and process billing require.

Efficient and diligent working skills

  • To be well versed with the functions of the system (Opera PMS) to ensure date is seamlessly complete and enter correctly.
  • To ensure all booking are process in the OPMS on the same day booking received and all direct booking are guarantee with credit card deposits.

Computer literate (Excel, PPT, Word, Maestro)

To ensure that all reservations are file accordingly based on department policy and all reservations correspondence are file accurately.

Ensure that all guest names in full details are record properly and any extra information (exp: flight detail, preferences..etc) are updated in OPMS and guest profile

Open-minded Team Player

  • Maintain good working relationship within department and other departments
