Job Description:

OBJECTIVE

Responsible for collecting and delivering guest luggage, messages and any other items in a fast, efficient and courteous manner. Bell service is also responsible for providing buggy service efficient and effectively.

KEY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Report for duty on time in full uniform according to resort grooming standards.
  • To ensure punctuality, excellent groom and hygiene.
  • Provide the guest with an enjoyable and memorable experience
  • Maintain high guest service focus
  • Strive to increase guest satisfaction through quality, creativity, range and value for money available throughout the resort
  • Be totally familiar with room amenities, lay-out, rate structure, outlets (e.g. operating hours, menu, promotions, prices, etc.) facilities and services offered in the resort.
  • Be aware of activities, events and promotions happening in the Resort so that you are able to provide our guests with appropriate activities to ensure they optimize their stay on Kandima
  • Seeks to minimize cost through correct use and handle of the resort property and equipment
  • Great care of arrival and departure guests luggage and report any damage luggage immediately to your superior
  • Waiting time to be at a minimum
  • Provide our guest and effective buggy service
  • Responsible to store late departure luggage

  • Coordinate arrival and departure luggage with Operator, Resort host and reception
  • Maintain a log of arrival guest luggage. departure and villa move luggage
  • Deliver guest letters, faxes and other items in a fast, efficient and courteous manner and to keep a record of it
  • Coordinate with Operator, Island host and reception for smooth guest check out / check in
  • Look after the buggies and keep the buggy area clean all the time
  • If a buggy required any maintenance or repair to inform it to superior
  • Coordinate the buggy maintenance schedule with the engineering team
  • Give proper handover to next shift
  • Respect the chain of command
  • Promote team member’s motivation
  • Keep up to date and have an extensive knowledge of the Maldives, the island and the surroundings, allowing you to provide your guests with information that will enhance their Maldivian experience
  • Provide a warm and friendly service responding to all guest enquiries immediately.
  • Attend and actively participate in the training sessions of front office and training organize by training manager
  • Attend daily operation briefing with direct report supervisor
  • Keep excellent relationship with team, peers and all other colleague of the hotel.
  • Handle guests’ complaints or requests and liaise with the departments concerned to ensure immediate follow-up.
  • Report all suggestions, complaints and compliments from guests to the Front Office Manager
  • Maintain a friendly rapport with guests in order to ensure open and accurate communication.
  • At all times believe that Team work is the key to ensuring all of our guests have the ultimate experience.
  • It is your responsibility to attain a buggy license and to ensure that you are adhering to the buggy driving policy at all times.
  • Be familiar with all the Emergency procedures (fire, etc.)
  • Abiding by the guidelines set out in the Employee Handbook.
  • To follow all systems and procedures as laid down in the standard operating manual
  • Assisting in any other duties as directed by your Manager.
