Retail Assistant
Job Description:
OBJECTIVE
Shop assistant’s responsibilities include welcoming customers to our shop, monitoring customer activities to prevent incidents of shoplifting, arranging window displays accordingly, and processing customer refunds. You should also be able to identify customers' needs and recommend suitable shop items that best satisfy their needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receiving, processing, and organizing shipments and deliveries accordingly.
- Keeping the store fully stocked. Restocking depleted or low shop items and ensuring that the sales floor is organized according to established guidelines.
- Conducting Monthly inventory and maintaining reports.
- Informing customers of shop promotions to encourage purchases.
- Performing regular price audits to identify and correct price discrepancies.
- Performing end-of-day cleaning duties, which includes wiping down windows, mirrors, and fixtures as well as sweeping and mopping the shop floor.
- Maintaining the highest level of visual merchandising and store conditions.
- Delivering exceptional sales services to improve customer satisfaction.
- Interacting with customers and identifying their needs and preferences.
- Processing customer payments using the shop's Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Receiving and verifying the quality and quantity of new shipments.
- Enforcing in-store security and health and safety procedures and regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned on the weekly schedule.
- Maintain excellent grooming and hygiene and ensure all grooming standards are met in relation to personal grooming and uniform presentation.
- Comply with Resort Safety & Environment policies, initiatives, and legislation.
- Abide by all Workplace Health, Safety and Hygiene regulations at all times.
- Abide by the guidelines set out in the Employee Handbook.
Performance Standards

- Specific non-financial measures of performance: To be agreed on recruitment and at each appraisal.
- Frequency of appraisal: Performance to be appraised bi-annually
